ARTU (AR Tour for yoU)
The Campania Region, thanks also to the co-financing of the European Union and the Italian State, has invested in the creation and consolidation of innovative startups through the “Campania Start Up 2020” Public Notice, implementing the Action “1.1.3 Support for the economic enhancement of innovation through experimentation and the adoption of innovative solutions in processes and products ”of the POR CAMPANIA FESR 2014 – 2020.
Among the initiatives financed by the aforementioned Notice is our project, called ARTU (AR Tour for yoU), with which we intend to extend the methods of use of the AR GLASSES by integrating different and innovative types of use and adding new cultural sites in the Campania region.
Our 3D glasses are customized with innovative software and used to reproduce, in Augmented Reality, the reconstruction of buildings and interiors overlapping the ruins. It represents an innovative offer tool that allows the enhancement and dissemination of the cultural heritage of the Campania Region.
The project was successfully completed according to the expected timing. The basic materials and components for the construction of the new 3D tours of the Campania sites were made. The software necessary for the use of the tours has been created. The field test phase was successfully completed.
The implementation of the project was made possible thanks to the financial support received from the European Union, the Italian State and the Campania Region, as part of the POR Campania FESR 2014-2020.
