Ancient Herculaneum was destroyed in 79 AD, sharing a tragic fate with the city of Pompeii. The extraordinary preservation of houses, furnishings, and everyday objects represents a unique testimony to life in ancient Rome, which you can experience with even greater realism thanks to the technology of our AR Glasses.

Starting from the beach, where over 300 human remains tell the dramatic story of the Herculaneans’ attempted escape, you will cross symbolic places such as the House of Neptune and Amphitrite, the Thermopolium, the gymnasium with a swimming pool, and the sacred area. 

The tour winds through perfectly traced cardines and decumani, revealing the structure of the buildings and Roman life. Our tour leader will welcome you at the entrance of the excavations and explain how the AR glasses work. We suggest arriving at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time. The visit is scheduled regardless of weather conditions, so it is advisable to dress appropriately and comfortably.
