This Tour is designed for both adults and children who wish to admire the ruins of the Archaeological Park as they were before the eruption of 79 AD.
The tour includes a dedicated Tour Assistant (available in Italian and English), AR glasses and audio narration and may vary based on the number of guests. Please note that the entrance ticket is not included and can be purchased at the Archaeological Park’s ticket office with assistance from our staff.
The audio guide is available in Italian, English, French, German, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Description
- Guests will have the Tours exclusively dedicated to their needs, thanks to the possibility of choosing the preferred time and route.
- The meeting point is located at the entrance to the Herculaneum site (via dei Papiri Ercolanesi). Meet our Staff at the snack area next to the ticket office. The Tour Assistant will be waiting for you near the vending machines with a sign saying “ARTour”.
- Please try to arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

- The Tour Assistant will accompany the group throughout the entire tour (2h). Afterward, we will return to the starting point where you will return the AR Glasses and accessories.
- Once the tour is finished and the augmented reality glasses are returned, you are welcome to stay in the archaeological park and explore the site at your own pace.
- This is a walking tour, so please ensure you wear comfortable shoes.
- The tour takes place regardless of weather conditions, so it is advisable to dress appropriately.
- AR glasses can also be worn by participants who already wear eyeglasses.
